The Town of Lewisporte is located in the heart of Central Newfoundland. It is the service area for approximately 20,000 individuals. As a service centre for so many we have all the services people need. We are however always looking to bring in new business or help existing business expand, in fact we encourage it. Evidence of this exists with the town’s willingness to negotiate business incentive programs. Our new business starts have increased over the past year and it is expected to increase. Housing starts are up over 300% coupled with an ever increasing population.

Today, Lewisporte is experiencing rapid growth. Recently we have witnessed the establishment of a new technical and industrial trades college, restaurants, a family fitness centre, office supply store just to name a few. We have world class marina facilities coupled with the only deep sea seep port in Central Newfoundland with a working dock. This port is a former home to Marine Atlantic and the Woodward Group. The most recent vessel to visit this port was over 182 meters long with a draft of more than 11 meters.

Tourism, manufacturing and marine industries have been identified as priority for Lewisporte and area. We are putting together a plan to ensure a prosperous and bright future for our businesses and residents and you can become a part of this future.
